Hey!
I’ve just popped on here for some guidance and help really.

im now two days late on my period after TTC after my miscarriage on 30th November. I tracked my ovulation and found my peak and went from there.

today, I thought AF was arriving as I had pains down below and the normal cramping prior to this I’ve had different pains that have been and gone.

I didn’t have any pregnancy tests in at the time so I just thought I’d see if it would show on an ovulation test as my previous pregnancy has, the line is really dark! I then took a pregnancy test after and it came back completely negative.

I am around 13DPO.

any help I’d appreciate as I’m super confused right now!

Sorry to hear about your MC.

I believe LH can jump around a bit in the luteal phase, so you might just have caught it doing that. My LP was also really unpredictable after an MC earlier this year, ranged from 9 days to 16 days. Best thing to do would be to wait a couple of days and test again if no AF.

Did you track the HCG in your last pregnancy down to a negative pregnancy test? Because if there was still HCG in your system it can give you false reading on the ovulation sticks, and also BBT. If so, it could be you haven't ovulated yet and might be about to, hence the LH reading? If not, wait another 2 days and test with an FRER (or Boots early response) as they're the most sensitive and at 4 days post AF should pick up something.

Yes I did, I had my hcg levels done at the hospital and they went back down to 0. I ovulated on the 16th December and then I thought I was in the two week window now to see if I’ve conceived or not. Xx

I only ovulated for two days on a strip test then it went back down to barely anything at all. I tested my LH yesterday morning and nothing so I just did one today as I feel off and it came back straight away after seconds that strong! Xx

It's entirely possible that you didn't actually ovulate when you thought you did - my body does that sometimes, builds up to a 'proper' LH test but then it doesn't actually do it until later. Especially after my miscarriages, my cycles were all over the place for a couple of months.

That's good on 0 HCG! In that case, since it's your first cycle post MC your timings could be longer than before so a longer luteal phase and later AF. Or as a pp said, your body could have tried and failed ovulation and is trying again. To be safe, could do DTD again to cover all bases, in cases you're ovulating now. And then wait to test on an FRER in 2 days as you could just be too early to show a result. Good luck!
