I current have the cosatto paloma faith travel system/ pram in the “wilding” colour.
found out baby no.2 is a boy,
honestly is this a “girly girl” pram?
would you get a different one?

It’s pretty but at-least it’s blue. You’ll be fine to use it again OP.

Dyra · 29/12/2024 19:20

This pattern for ease of viewing.

Sorry OP, but yes IMO it is a bit girly.

I would keep the lovely pram.

Bey · 29/12/2024 19:21

Definitely use the pram again

Coffeecoconut · 29/12/2024 19:21

Worst that happens is a few people assume baby is a girl… does that bother you? It looks like a lovely pram.

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 29/12/2024 19:23

I had a cosatto pram, it was fabulous, lightweight, robust and lasted us until DS didn't need a pram anymore (and I walk a lot). Keep it, the pattern is nice and it really doesn't matter

Fupoffyagrasshole · 29/12/2024 19:24

Ffs of course you can use it

my 6 month old is in a pink coat it was his sisters and it’s a perfectly good coat and I wasn’t spending money on a new one

most people in the street or shops or wherever we go assume he’s a girl and I don’t care. He doesn’t know or care and he won’t have that coat in a few months time

SoftPlaySaturdays · 29/12/2024 19:25

I would also have used it (my DS has a bright magenta pink footmuff for example).

If it bothers you, though, isn't Cosatto one that sells spare parts so you can replace the fabric? I could be wrong.

FrogOnAYuleLog · 29/12/2024 19:25

What’s wrong with people thinking your kid is a girl? Who cares? Anyone who knows the child will know they’re a boy.

Clearly I would still use it, I’m interested in this thought process though.

Autumn1990 · 29/12/2024 19:28

Just use the pram. It’s lovely. I’ve a DS then DD. DD has quite a lot of boyish things even now at 4! No one notices really and I’m beyond judgement

FatFiatMultiplaWhopper · 29/12/2024 19:29

Why do you care what someone who doesn't know you or your baby might think? It's a nice pram, keep it and use it.

Happiestwhen · 29/12/2024 19:33

I would absolutely use it again regardless of babies gender, it's lovely 🤗 You really only use the pram for a few short months and they are into the buggy part or a stroller - so it would be a waste of money to get a new one imo. Especially if you love it.
I had a rose gold pram for my dd1 and used it for my 2 boys also.

DappledThings · 29/12/2024 19:35

Bonkers. It's a pram. It's a perfectly nice pattern for anyone. Daft not to use it.

Jabbabong · 29/12/2024 19:41

Why do you think that it matters?

Maranda27 · 29/12/2024 19:43

I do need a double pram regardless and needing a upgrade as this one unfortunately doesn’t convert to a double

mnahmnah · 29/12/2024 19:45

Is it just the carrycot with that pattern? If so, both my DC only lasted in it for a short time anyway. The pushchair attachment gets much more use. Is that the same fabric?

Maranda27 · 29/12/2024 19:46

@mnahmnah yeah all is the same fabric and the infant car seat too it was a set

Lovely pram. Not too girly for a boy imo. Remember the pram is your accessory, not baby's.

TheEllisGreyMethod · 29/12/2024 19:57

Well someone told me my grey oyster 2 was clearly a boy pram and I shouldn't have DD in it...I'm still baffled about that one. My point is though people will think whatever they want to think and some people have very weird preconceived ideas about what is for a girl or a boy . I personally wouldn't assume that was a 'girls' pram and would happily use it for a boy.

Objectiontime · 29/12/2024 21:29

I thi k its lovely for any baby x

Really, that is so weird of them. What an odd suggestion. Some people are just strange I guess.

catschildrenbooks · 29/12/2024 21:34

This is how the companies make money. It’s easier having a boy first as girls in blue pushchairs don’t raise as many eyebrows.

So what's the point of the thread if you are getting a double anyway?

Goldpanther · 30/12/2024 07:11

I've got the coasatto hear us roar pram (all over leopard print) which I love for when my baby boy arrives.

I didn't want a plain black one!

Maranda27 · 30/12/2024 10:00

Slight bit of baby brain i suppose 😅@Happiestwhen
