Hi
im 14dpo ans 2 days late on my period. My periods are always 28 days without fail even when I’ve been under overwhelming stress or when I’ve been sick. The only times I’ve been late are when I’ve been pregnant.

I have always conceived on day 16 of my cycle (4 children) so I assume that’s when I ovulated this time therefore 14dpo. I also only had sex once this month (14 days ago)

Myself and OH use condoms. On this incident it broke and it was not realised until about an hour after sex when I noticed there was stuff in me. I’m not on birth control as the hormones impact my mental health so we exclusively use condoms. I do track my cycle just to ensure I’m regular.

I am 2 days late with no sign of a period. I’ve taken 3 tests today all negative without even a sign of a second line. They are 25 MIU tests I have some 10 MIU ones coming from Amazon tomorrow.

Im only 28 so doubt it’s menopause, no stress, no medication or sickness. From what I’ve read, if you don’t get a positive by 14DPO then it’s pretty conclusive that you’re not pregnant.

Is this true? Is there any point me keeping on testing/worrying or should I just focus on waiting for my period

When you say you track ovulation do you use ovulation tests and/or temping?

I know you say you always have a 28 day cycle. I could say the same- I always ovulate on day 18/19 for a 31 day cycle until that one cycle when I didn’t. I would have even put money that I ovulated on day 18/19 that cycle because my ‘signs’ such as cervical mucus/ewcm matched exactly and dried up on the same day as usual. I only know because I was tracking ovulation (had a missed miscarriage as my first pregnancy so I wanted to be very sure that I was ovulating and of my dates). The only hint of something that cycle was on days 2-4 I remember having slightly swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I say this but I have that happen every so often and it has never affected my cycle before/since so either there’s a sweet spot for delaying ovulation or I made a connection that isn’t the true reason. I had zero stress that cycle or the few before it that were normal length. No major illness or even minor illness apart from the mention above.

When conceiving my second it went back to day 18/19 and hasn’t broken out of that pattern again since that one cycle.

Use the sensitive tests when they arrive and hopefully they will help determine if it’s early pregnancy or not.
