Was wondering if anyone has experienced like a stitch on right hand side specifically when walking? it's like a tightening or stretching not painful so to speak. It goes away when sitting and is only occasional. I didnt think it was ligament pain with it being higher up? I was worried about placental abruption so I did go to MAU on Sunday and they said everything looked great for reference I'm 27 weeks?

thank you!

Not pregnancy related but I had exactly what you described and it turned out to be appendicitis.

Hi - I had this and it was ligament pain. I mentioned it to a midwife and went in for a scan and they said it was just ligaments stretching. Quite painful isn’t it! Lasted about 3 weeks then stopped but have had it in other places (lower down) since! I had it around when you did but I’m now 36 weeks and baby is fine xxx

thank goodness someone else has had it! it's the same side same spot so I was worried it wasn't round ligament pain but I couldn't go back to mau again after them dismissing it only a few days ago! thank you lovely 😍

@Livingonhope Yeah I’m in a group and no one else had it so I was worried! I also thought it was the placenta but midwife said that abruption you’d have massive bleeding. It’s basically round ligament pain. Mine felt like stabbing pain on one side near my belly button then changed to feeling like a ripping/tearing pain then went completely. Feel for you as it’s really painful!!! Hope it passes soon xx

I had this exact same thing, right hand side like a stitch in line with belly button. It lasted one time for minutes and another time a little longer. I was maybe around 26 weeks. I'm 29 weeks now and haven't had it again. I looked it up and figured it must've been round ligament pain but didn't have it in my first pregnancy.

Hello I had this and it was torn abdominal muscles (diastacis recti I think is the correct term). I have been booked in for physio postpartum x
