Does baby movements lessen after 30 weeks?

I’ve read lots of things saying as the baby get bigger there is less space for them to move so less movements??
im 32 weeks & I can see and feel movements but there are very slow. Before 30 weeks I was getting very crazy kicks! I kind of have to ‘wake the baby up’ by poking to get some movement back 😅

No they shouldn’t. Any change in type of movement should have a chat/review with maternity assessment x

Hi OP, it's a myth that babies move less toward the end of pregnancy. Babies do not run out of room. Call your midwife unit if you're concerned, please don't chance it. We had to visit the midwife unit on Christmas Eve, they spoilt us with mince pies, chocolates and hot tea! Please go and put your mind at rest

That sounds like something to get checked out OP. I'd go to triage as soon as.
I would describe it as feeling slightly different later in pregnancy as they are more squashed so not fully extending limbs but still as frequent and still as strong. Having to wake them up isn't usual x

Mine did and baby was absolutely fine (she's now 4.5) but the general advice is to report any change or reduction in movements after 28 weeks.

I had an anterior placenta and my little one moved into a position right behind my placenta which cushioned a lot of the kicks. I was in regularly in the second half of my third trimester with reduced movements as you can't be too careful.
