Movement pattern

I don’t remember much about movement pattern in second trimester from when I was pregnant 3 years ago so just wanted to ask when should the pattern be regular? From what week?
Will there still be “quiet days” in second trimester? I’m currently 22 weeks.

Thank you in advance.

NHS advice is to monitor patterns from 28 weeks.

Some women will feel movement earlier than others. I didn't feel a single kick until 24 weeks.

And even now approaching 30 weeks our baby's pattern goes from busy days to quiet days.

At 22 weeks your baby is incredibly small and quiet days are very normal.

I'm 26+4 and just settling into a proper pattern of movements now.

The advice in my trust is that you should start to see a pattern forming between 24 and 28 weeks and that this will become stronger and easier to follow in the third trimester.

I have a posterior placenta this time but in my first pregnancy, I had an anterior placenta and there was a massive difference. I'm not sure I ever identified a proper pattern last time.

I'm 26 weeks and just starting to see (unreliable) patterns. If I've had a busy day, it seems to be sleepy the next day which always spooks me. It dislikes me taking afternoon naps or attending boring meetings, so that's a good way to get it moving. It's apparently a bit squashed by all the Christmas lunch and has gone quiet this afternoon

With my son I had an anterior placenta so didn’t feel anything until 22 weeks, even then it was so infrequent I didn’t notice a pattern until 27/28 weeks (7-10pm) literally only that time of day. Then at 30 weeks ended up in once for reduced movement due to him not moving one evening.

This time it’s posterior placenta. Started movements at 18 weeks. Currently 23 weeks and I can’t recognise a pattern so far at all. Just infrequent nudge or kick then nothing for ages.

I agree with the PP who said it may be too early. Count the Kicks recommends counting them every day in the third trimester Xmas Wink
