Hello looking for some comfort really or validation, I was just wondering if anyone else is 18/19 weeks and absolutely exhausted, I also have a 17 month old but I have to be honest my husband is taking a lot of the slack, doing most of the housework and walking the dogs.
i keep reading on apps and seeing on Instagram so many pregnant women looking great, exercising during their second trimester and really not gaining much weight and I can’t explain the exhaustion I feel, all I want to do is lay down or sit on the sofa, even when I go upstairs it feels like my legs are dead weight. I’ve put on 11 pounds so far maybe more this week and feel a bit hopeless like I don’t know where people are getting their energy from. My blood levels are also fine. Anyone else in same position?

I'm the same as this! 18weeks tomorrow, with a 20 month old and two dogs. ALL I want to do is sleep, it's exhausting. I didn't feel this terrible with me first, I also have no appetite and zero motivation to do anything.

Three dogs here 😂😭 so I empathise, although I wish my appetite was at zero that’s my problem I’m being sedentary and eating more than usual so the weight is just piling on, same here I don’t remember being this tired first time round I was even doing 6am dog walks third trimester I’m just so confused

I never got the energy boost and glow during my whole pregnancy, just went from barely awake in 1st trimester to exhausted in 2nd/most of the 3rd moving back to barely awake towards the end. Two of my friends felt the same, most others felt better especially in 2nd trimester - we’re all different and we change too. Rest as much as you can x

It varies SO much.

For my first, I sailed through pregnancy, had no issues, no tiredness, no sickness, no sore boobs, nothing at all.

This one has broken me; I'm really sore, I'm tired all the time, I had horrible nausea in the first trimester... I'm 24 weeks now and I could just sleep all the time.

You've just got to do your best. Don't compare yourself, it won't help!

Ah I was going to say check your iron level but you said your blood test was fine (assuming you had that done in the last 2-3 weeks?).

With my son I had the exhaustion from week 6 and they picked up low iron by week 9 and I was back to mostly feeling myself by week 18. I still went to bed by 8pm but it was a big improvement.

This time I felt ok in early pregnancy, the tiredness creeped up on me starting at 11 weeks. By 18 weeks I was struggling a lot and requested a blood test. It showed my iron level was very low. So I’m now 22 weeks and just getting some energy back. Still not fully there but I’ve improved.
