Itchy all over - can Omeprazole cause this?

Was delighted to be prescribed omeprazole for pregnancy heartburn (I'm 38 weeks today) as the heartburn is keeping me awake all night.
Took it last night and was up all night, not with heartburn, but with itchiness - all over my body.
Can omeprazole causd body itching?
I know itchiness can mean cholestasis but its not my hands or feet, no rash, no other symptoms.
I'm just trying to find out if anyone else has had body itchiness with omeprazole. Concerned about taking it again 😭

I would go to doc or walk in maternity day unit etc. i remember getting very itchy in late pregnancy and was worried it was cholestasis. Best to check it out... it wasn't but I would speak to them

Itching all over could be an allergic reaction but itching all over can also be a sign of preeclampsia. Call your midwife for advice.

I'd get it checked anyway in case your liver is struggling.

No idea about itching, but just wanted to say omeprazole works best taken first thing in the morning ideally an hour before eating breakfast.

Itching can be pre-eclampsia. You need to phone the maternity triage. And get hospital bag ready if not done yet.

I had itching all over in the third trimester in my last pregnancy. It turned out to be hormonal and nothing to be concerned about but the midwives made me come in for bloods to get a few things checked out.. you really need to get checked out just in case.
