Hello, just wondered if someone could help me please.

i got a positive pregnancy test on Thursday 19th December 2024. I did a digital and it said 1-2 weeks. My period tracker app told me I was meant to be 5 weeks 3 days. So surely I should have had a 2-3 on clear blue digital by now? But this morning it still said 1-2. Other tests I’ve done have been fairly dark, no dye stealers but no squinters. My lmp was on the 12th November 2024 but my
cycles are all over the place due to PCOS.
whats going on ? I don’t have many symptoms apart from on an off cramping that feels like period pain & perhaps sore-ish boobs but nothing huge and the odd headache and a tiny bit of nausea.

I don’t know when I’m going to get
to the gp with Christmas coming up & stuff either!!

Thanks

fyi, the tests below were taken on the Thursday they are much darker today and have been over the last few days.

Unless you were physically tracking your ovulation or you know your exact dates (through ivf, only one possible conception date etc) then only a scan will be able to tell gestation.

Initially, the midwife will work with the first day of your last period to work out how far along you are but you'll get your official date at the 12 week dating scan.

My official due date is 10 days later than what lmp said it should be because I have longer than average cycles and I ovulated late. The lmp date is an early guide only and is not accurate for a lot of women.

In my area, the GP doesn't actually test or confirm pregnancy, it's just a matter of waiting to see what happens unless there is something concerning from a medical viewpoint in the meantime (symptoms of ectopic pregnancy or bleeding etc)
