First trimester during Christmas

Who else here is having to go through Christmas going through a very bad first trimester?
I feel so silly but I keep getting emotional that I am hosting this year and I won't be able to be the usual happy, fun and upbeat person I usually am :( I have my husband and family to help of course but I just know I won't be much use at all and will be boring. Most likely will need to nap and have a sick bowl with me all day, won't be able to enjoy the food either 😩

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Last Christmas I was in my first trimester, and it fell on the year which we had to host! My partner done everything (luckily he’s a chef!) and my family that was there all knew I was pregnant so they didn’t give me any hassle & knew why I was in such a bad tired mood all day! 🤣 I popped to my room quite often just to rest.
I actually announced to them on the day also. I was 9 weeks, I would have liked to wait closer to 12 weeks but it felt right once I was with all my family on the day in one place, and probably they would of noticed with me not drinking and not feeling great anyway! Congratulations!!

You have my sympathies OP. My first pregnancy I was about 8 weeks pregnant on Christmas day and in the full throes of food aversions and morning sickness.
It's hard (and also hard not telling everyone) but I got through it and my DD1 is now 4.5.

It's worth it.

This time round I'll be 26+4 and I'm suffering awful heartburn which spoils most meals and 'treats' and just generally very uncomfortable. Thank goodness I'm not hosting this year!
