Legitimately feel like I'm dying of exhaustion

Has anyone else felt this way?
I'm 23 weeks and since about 2 weeks ago I've felt so exhausted that it's hard to even get off the sofa. I do still work but I feel like I'm showing up, doing what I need to do and leaving at 5pm like a zombie.

I begged my midwife to recheck my bloods at my last appointment but she said they don't do it until 28 weeks. Getting through to my GP this week would be a nightmare.
I've started taking iron tablets this week (my iron was perfect at booking, but thought best to be safe)

Has anyone else felt this profoundly exhausted and it was just normal? I'm legitimately scared there's something really wrong with me

If you think there's something wrong please do push for help and maybe call triage and explain?

Having said that, I was so fatigued in pregnancy there were moments I thought I would never get out of bed again. It was hard to explain to people how genuinely exhausted I was.

I cut down to doing the absolute minimum at home at work (chicken nuggets and chips for tea, getting others to walk the dog, no cleaning etc). And drinking electrolyte drinks and generally staying hydrated helped. Hope you manage to get some naps in over Christmas.

How’s your BP? You can buy a monitor off Amazon for about £15. I had low BP and anaemia with my second and felt like absolute crap a lot of the time. You have my sympathies.

Oh yes my booking apt bloods were fine, then tiredness and exhaustion started creeping up on me from 11 weeks onwards. I mentioned it at 16 weeks to my midwife but she didn’t offer to redo my blood test or offer any help. On top of that I don’t see her again until 28 weeks! So by 18 weeks I had two moments of almost passing out and thought it can’t be normal. I asked my gp and they took my blood. It turns out I had low iron level and now I’m on tablets. I’m now 22 weeks and I’m slowly improving on tiredness.

(I had low iron in my last pregnancy too but that was from week 5 and picked up early).

Definitely ask your gp, don’t suffer for 5 weeks incase it’s low iron.
