I had surges from 10am yesterday until midnight, I got to the hospital and they stopped. It’s 6.30am and they still haven’t restarted I just have back ache and feel a bit achy. My waters haven’t broken and I’ve had no show. Top tips for getting this going again please as I’d really like to be out of hospital for Christmas for my other children (I need to stay in for at least 24 hours) TIA

Keep moving. And when you get the pains, keep moving.

Back ache is a good sign. Are you early or on time? Do you have a pregnancy ball to bounce on?

Sugar! Being mobile
bouncing on a birthing ball

first labour baby was back to back and labour was slow and stop start
midwife advised sugary snacks and walking and that kicked things off
