Hi sorry to hear you've endured three ectopics. I haven't been in the same situation but didn't want to read and run. I had one ectopic and went on to have a DD.

Around half of ectopic pregnancies are caused by something, have you had any investigations? You can have a HSG test where they flush dye into your uterus/fallopian tubes to check for blockages, or you can have a hysteroscopy where they use a camera to have a look.

It's worth a chat with your GP if they haven't offered anything. Some studies report that women who have had recurrent ectopics have a lower risk of another if they go via IVF.

You have options ❤️ good luck x

Hi,

I had 2 ectopics (1 mtx , 1 surgery to remove tube). I then had a ‘normal’ pregnancy that resulted in a missed miscarriage. Then I got pregnant with my toddler and I am now pregnant again (in the correct place). I’ve been pregnant 5 times in total and 3 have been since having one fallopian tube removed. before my first child it took 1-4 months usually to conceive but since my toddler it’s taken 13 months (of trying) to get pregnant again. I never had any investigations but I was eligible for the HSG and offered bloods to check fertility, I just happened to fall pregnant again whilst waiting to go for them.

I know quite a few people who have had 1 or 2 ectopics and all of them have children now, it’s just taken a bit longer to get there.

hope that helps!

Hello

I've just had my 3rd ectopic 😔, totally heart broken 😔😤and frustrated and angry.

So embarrassing I can't even believe this keeps happening.

I expected to have a baby by now.

The hospital finally agreed to give me a HSG test. So I'll know if my tubes blocked or not in march. If it's blocked badly I won't be having a baby. If it's okay I'm trying again asap.
