Ovulation tracking day 8 of cycle

I’m day 8 of my cycle and did an ovulation test - does a very faint line mean my fertile window has started or is starting? When do people recommending starting to try? Can anyone else even see the lines or am I going mad?🙈

I can see the lines 😊

But no not from what I remember, the line will darken to almost like the control line when you're ovulating. You can keep them to track change or take photos input them into an app (although never did myself).

You might get better responses an similar threads in 'Conception' rather than 'Pregnancy' too.

We all have LH in our bodies regardless of what stage in your cycle you are at. So you will alwayss have a second line. It is positive when the test line is at least as dark as, but usually darker than, the control line. You'll see it gradually darken which means ovulation is approaching. Once you get the peak, ovulation will occur usually any time within about 12-36 hours of that peak test. Can help to use an app like premom or femometer where you upload pics of the test and it reads them for you (easier to use the brand that matches your app if that makes sense). When you see your tests start to darken some people take the approach of having sex every other day, that way you've mostly covered all your bases. When you catch your peak test definitely have sex that day and even the day after. It's a bit of a minefield at first but you do get used to testing. If you find you do it for a couple of months and you always ovulate around the same time, you might not always have to test. It can be a good way of figuring out when you ovulate but then not driving yourself crazy testing every single month. Best of luck! 😊

Download Pre mom app. Take daily photos of your strips in same lighting etc. it will tell you once you get a positive ovulation strip which will mean go ahead & do the deed! I would suggest from say 12 to test morning & night or once you see the tests getting dark so you catch your peak.
