No yolk sac on scan

Hi I am supposed to be 6 weeks 2 days I have been for an early scan today it shows nothing but the empty sac she says it could be because I'm early I don't think that's possible as I have tracked my cycle like no tomorrow I had my last period 5th November and ovulated 18th I had implantation bleeding 24th November I am so worried my head is a mess... I don't know what to think rescan in 8 days but until then I am lost

Hi Love, i had a scan at 5.4 and they just saw a yolk sac & gestational sac measuring 10mm. I have to go back on Monday 23rd for a rescan. im sh**ing myself.

My EPU dept here arnt very reassuring, i found the sonographer quite cold which makes me feel worse about it.

How comes you went for a early scan? im under the miscarriage clinic so mine was a reassurance scan and i had reported back ache.

I went because I had back pain and I just wanted reassurance... you should be absolutely fine if they is a yolk sac yours is progressing .. sounds promising 😊 as usually that's all u see that early .. anyhow mine didn't even have a yolk sac :(

I am the same as you with the cycle thing - i track and can pinpoint right down to the 4 hour window when i ovulated.

I also had a mmc last year, i had backache and lots of brown discharge at 6 weeks they saw nothing at all just the sac, when i went back the sac had grown to 22mm and there was then 2 yolks there but no babys.

It is truly terrifying and i really am sending you all my love. i hope you don't have the same outcome as my first.

Have as much rest as possible. <3

No I haven't had my bloods done I don't know how to go about that....

I had this at 6 weeks, on an early private scan. Went back a week later and there was DS. He’s 7 now! You may quite easily have your dates slightly out so try not to worry just yet,

With the exception of IVF, it’s not an exact science. Sperm are stupid they can get lost and swim around in there for up to FIVE DAYS before actually doing what they’re supposed to.

Or you may not have conceived at the time you thought.

there are lots of possibilities so an empty yolk sac this early on isn’t necessarily bad news.

Hi Love, i just called doc and asked (well begged) for them. they wernt happy about it but did it i think because of my anxiety.

I have just rang this morning waiting for a doctor calling me back so hopefully they will send me for bloods to be done
