We have been trying for a kid for 4 years, this year I'd kinda given up. Period is a few days late and took a test, is this positive? Appreciate all advice

Oh my, 4 years! I really hope it is for you. It does look like a possible evap or a possible faint line. Hopefully a faint line, can you do another test?
