Is anyone else feeling extremely tired? I can't keep my eyes open. I slept over 18h yesterday and still managed to sleep all night again tonight. And I am still absolutely wrecked and just want to keep sleeping. Is this normal?

Hiya. Have you had your iron levels checked lately? I was feeling like this and after a course of iron tablets I felt 100x better.

Hi, id speak to your midwife. I was like this at the end of my pregnancy when I went on mat leave. Sleeping all night and most of the day. I was still working full time at 31 weeks I was knackered but at 9 months I was sleeping like 18 hours a day. Xxx

They did tell me I was low on iron at 27w, they called me in to take a new blood screen for it and apparently it was all fine then at 28w even though nothing changed with my diet or supplements and they didn't know why. I been on prescription iron supplements all along as I been anemic in the past. So I am taking an obscene amount of iron already, but you might be right and I might have to redo the blood again to see...

Just to second getting your iron checked but also B12. I'm only in first trimester but had B12 come back as low yesterday and will be going on a course of B12 injections. Fatigue is one of the symptoms

Yeah I am working full-time too, I had to take a sicky yesterday as I just couldn't do it. I am currently trying to get out of bed to go to work but I am struggling so bad.

My B12 does show as low in my test results in the app but the midwife said it's still normal as the scale is for people who aren't pregnant and it's normal for it to be that low when you are. I don't understand it but that's what they said... Also I am on B12 supplements too, guess they aren't working.

@MonkeyTales I can see why it might be lower if the baby is needing your B12, but surely that doesn't mean mum should go without 😭 I'm actually getting my B12 injections through the GP as it was him who ordered my blood tests (right before I had my first booking appointment).
