4w+2 brown spotting - any chance not another mc

Ive just found out I am pregnant again. I have a healthy lovely little 2 year old girl but want to grow our family. I had an early mc in July and a missed mc a few years ago.

I missed my period 3 days ago so knew there was a chance I was pregnant. Took loads of tests to confirm and all looked good but today I've had a little light brown spotting. A similar thing happened in July but the spotting became more progressive with mild cramps and after about it 4 days became a proper mc.

Does anyone have any experience with light brown spotting and everything being fine?

I am really anxious as I'm 37 and have been trying to grow a family for 4 years (all tests done say everything is fine)

I had alot of spotting with my 2nd baby. I think you're too early on for MAU? It's early pregnancy unit this early on isn't it. Give them a call and they should book you in for an early scan to be on the safe side. They did with me x

I had some light spotting around wk 5 and some mild cramping. They sent me for an early scan. It may be worth contacting your gp to see if they can refer you to the early antenatal team ( not their proper name but its something like that). Given your history I would say they will quite likely do this

I had spotting at 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks with my son. He is perfectly healthy.

I'm pregnant with my second now and had spotting at 4+2, but I'm still pregnant and will be 8 weeks on Saturday.

It could just be implantation bleeding or something. Brown is old blood! I was told not to worry unless it's red and/or there's enough to fill a pad.

Turned out I had an ectopic which came to light on Xmas day. Boxing Day I had emergency surgery including removal of my fallopian tube. I had an early scan booked in epau but it was after Boxing Day. Still traumatised by the whole experience.

If anyone reading this has similar symptoms I hope you get that early scan for reassurance and if it if an ectopic get treated before surgery is needed.
