I got what I thought was my period a couple of days early on the 7th December (lasted 5 days) but it was a little different as I had no pain and it didn't feel like my normal period. But I was convinced it was my period. Anyway, took a pregnancy test a couple of days ago which was positive, and other 2 today both positive! Any advice what's happening?

You're pregnant? What more are you wondering?! It's not that unusual to have some bleeding in early pregnancy and for some women to have something resembling a period. Congratulations.

Was it a heavy bleed or like spotting? Book a doctors appointment get a blood test done to check for HCG levels x

I think just concerned as it wasn't 'heavy' bleeding but it also wasn't light either. But thank you!!! :)

It wasn't 'heavy' but it was definitely more than spotting.. I spoke to my Dr but they have said to wait for 2 weeks unless I get any pain / more bleeding.

You don't need a doctors appt or a blood test. A home pregnancy test is perfectly fine to confirm pregnancy. You can often self refer to your community midwives these days - look online to check the process in your area.

Sometimes the bleeding you had can happen when you implant close to when your period was due so your hormones aren't high early enough to properly stop your period and you get a light period.

As the doctor said - worth waiting a couple of weeks and probably retesting in about a week but it looks hopeful!

A close friend had exactly the same as you, she said she was convinced it was her period

If you get any more bleeding just keep an eye on it please. And if anything doesn’t feel right, trust your gut. If it was light bleeding, I wouldn’t worry xx
