Morning! I’m in the early stages of an ivf pregnancy. According to my app I’m 8 weeks though I’m not totally sure and I haven’t yet committed to working it all out properly. Mostly because I’m terrified it won’t work out…it’s complicated to say the least! I had a scan two weeks ago and they saw a hematoma and I had some bleeding before that. Ive had brown spotting on and off since then, nothing significant. I’ve got a scan tomorrow which I am both excited and terrified for to see how things are progressing. Anyway, I’ve had some nausea in the mornings on and off but today I was actually sick for the first time! Not very much but it was first thing so stomach was empty. I realise I sound ridiculous but I take it this is a good sign? I know I’ll get answers tomorrow but I just thought I’d post on here in the meantime…thanks all 🙂

That was the first sign for me, we were on holiday, had to pop in chemist for pregnancy test, then had to tell in laws who were on holiday with us, I didn’t want to tell them until 12 weeks, but they guessed as I’d stopped drinking alcohol. Good luck with the scan.

Symptoms are funny - they do give some people reassurance but the severity or extent of symptoms doesn't correlate to a successful pregnancy. Everything crossed for your scan 🤞🙏

Congratulations! I’m also pregnant after IVF… my viability scan is Monday. I’ve waited YEARS for morning sickness. Also, wasn’t expecting my boobs to be quite so sore! However, I swing from feeling ecstatic to feeling maga anxious. I’m hoping this will calm down a little after the scan… Good luck for tomorrow, let us know how it goes! 🤞

There is quite a lot of research supporting morning sickness with a positive pregnancy outcome but we don't really know why!

Congratulations! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean

(As a caveat - doesn't mean you can't have a successful pregnancy if you don't have strong symptoms, that it means anything is wrong or that you can't have a miscarriage if you do have strong symptoms. Simply that there's a correlation in large data sets - one study questions the causation)
