Hi, so I'm currently 17w and recently a friend did me a tarot reading. (I know, I don't believe it but this has got in my head big time). She knows I'm pregnant but it wasn't about pregnancy, just how my year would go in general. Well, first line was you will have a loss. She insists this isn't pregnancy related but I've already had a lot of anxiety this pregnancy and I realise how stupid i sound but it really bothered me. I'd be around 20w at this time so I already have the scanxiety for it anyway.

I'd also consider if she's really a friend if she's spouting bullshit that would cause someone anxiety when they're pregnant.

if you’re prone to anxiety and superstition, better to avoid talking about and participating in woo things’!

If the worries continue and affect you dat to day, look up ways to help yourself with (understandable) worries about pregnancy and birth - lots of good content out there. I have a MH condition and needed professional help during pregnancies but found some of the free content useful as well.

I have definitely been using the miscarriage odds reassurer and I know the chances are rare. I think I need to get off social media too as it loves throwing up sad videos at me lately.

Would your friend normally be this socially inept ? I’ve had several tarot readings over the years and not once has anything predicted in them ever come true.ever.

So I didn't doubt her friendship but now she keeps bringing it up despite me saying it makes me anxious and I'm starting to think she's trying to hurt me with it. I think I'll hold this friendship at a distance for now. Thanks all.
