Hi I got a BFP on a Clearblue ultra early test at 10 DPO today, can’t quite believe it! Should I contact my doctor today or wait a few days? This is my first time ttc so have no idea what to do. 🙈 my period isn’t technically due until Saturday.

Congratulations. It depends on your area. Most GPs won't have anything to do with pregnancy and will ask you to self refer to your local/chosen hospital. A few GPs will refer you themselves. You can Google self referral in your area, or give your GP surgery a call and they will advise you.

Good luck x

Thanks so much :) do you think it’s ok for me to tell gp or self refer so early on? I guess I wasn’t sure if I should wait a few days but I’m so impatient, really hoping it’s a sticky bean.

It will likely take them a while to get back to you, nothing will happen right away. They won't see you until 8-10 weeks for your booking in appointment, so no rush. But if you want to do it, there's nothing to say you can't!

You can let them know any time you like :) your first appointment is usually around 8 weeks.

Where I live you don’t call your GP, there is a booking in line instead. You can Google what the correct procedure is in your area, or just ring the GP receptionist and they will be able to tell you.

Thank you @KittyFantastica and @JadeScroller :) I’m going to give them a call tomorrow or Thursday if I can hold out!
