My cycle is usually around 33 days long (I’ve only had 2 since being off the pill so hard to tell).

I saw an obstetrician who told me to have sex every other day after the last day of my period - but when I research it says to wait 10 days after the last day of my period to start having sex for 5 days before ovulation.

What is the right thing to do?

I don’t want to miss the window. Thanks x

It depends how much you feel you can dd!

If you can manage every other day throughout then that's fine, otherwise from cycle day 8 - 10 through to 20-21 should have you well covered. The precise window you'd probably want to aim for is 14-19.

I would try and work out when you ovulate though as that would really help - the clear blue digital advanced are easy to use.

Hey! My cycles are 31 days and I always ovulated a bit late on day 20/21. I really recommend you track your ovulation properly using strips you can buy on amazon! And using Premom app. When I got a positive ovulation test I would have sex on that day & day after. I fell pregnant twice this way. I’m 31 weeks 😊

i would say the same as the pp- I bought the easy at home tests and used the Premom app. I usually have a ~31/32 day cycle and ovulate on day 18/19.

If I waited until 10 days after the last day of my period I'd completely miss my fertile days! It will be different for everyone depending on when they ovulate in their cycle.

As pp have said - you need to find out when you ovulate . I'm surprised the obstetrician didn't tell you to take that as a starting point
