Cellulitis

I'm high risk due to waters partially breaking a few weeks ago. So weekly scans and bloods to check for infection and I'm monitoring it too. I've woken up today with pain in my thigh. It's gotten worse and there is now a red mark. It's also swollen I think. It's sore to touch but not hot. I'm worried about cellulitis. Do I ring antenatal assessment unit or GP? I've rang AAU so much recently and I know they don't mind if you ring them a million times but I just don't want to be overdramatic. Anyone else had cellulitis during late pregnancy?

Might not be that. Get it looked at.

Do you have a high temperature? If it's cellulitis your temperature would be raging x

@MyPinkFish ah that's interesting. No I don't have a temperature at all. The redness seems to have spread though.

I had cellulitis earlier this year and didn't have a temperature. It was extremely painful though! I'd give the GP a call, and take a picture so you can check if the redness is spreading

Definitely go get it looked at urgently - it could be DVT, so don’t rub it!

Hope you’re ok 🙂

I'm not pregnant now but have cellulitis now and I had it while pregnant. I did not have a a temp at any time. It's painful, swells and is red. I'm on tablet form antibiotics and going for regular blood tests. While I was pregnant I had a milder version and they gave me antibiotic cream.

I saw the GP today and it is cellulitis. They couldn't understand where it's come from because there's no cut or anything where bacteria could've got in. I'm on antibiotics so I'm sure that'll clear it up.

Did they draw a line around the surrounding red area? If not do it yourself so you can see if it get worse.
