Do they tell you there and then at the 12 week scan if they have any concerns about Downs/Edwards/Pateau's? Do they also take blood after at the hospital?

The screening results can take up to two weeks but if there are issues with the visual part (the fluid at the back of the baby’s neck that they measure during the scan) they will tell you that day in my experience.

No they don’t tell you anything at the 12 week scan really other than that you’ll get your results in X time. My baby is 8 months old now but at my 12 week scan they did the scan, then the bloods, and I was told that if there were any issues I’d receive a phone call within 4 working days, if no issues I’d get the results by post within 2 weeks.

I was told the NT measurement there and then but for the combined test they add that to blood tests and factors such as age to produce the result so that comes later.

Normally, if there is anything concerning or abnormal picked up on a scan at any stage, they will tell you there and then

Same as the other posters.

Find out there and then if the NT is normal or not. Normal with both mine, however the sonographer couldn't quite get the measurement fully with my first (bad angle and moving). I only had the blood test immediately after with my second as I then had the Quad test at 16 weeks with my first in lieu of the NT/combined test.

I found out the results in a letter a week or so later. If anything had been found through the blood results (i.e. high risk) I would have been phoned within 3 days.
