I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I bought the M&S Buffalo Chicken Dip today (amazing!) however, once I had eaten 1/4 of it, I realised it has full fat soft cheese in it. It doesn’t say on the ingredients if it is pasteurised & now I am freaking out! Any advice pleaseeeee!!! I am worrying now as Google says you can have listeriosis without any symptoms!! (Probably thinking too much into it)

You'll be fine, I'm almost 100% sure that they wouldn't use anything unpasteurised in any dish. It's hard to find unpasteurised anything these days. Plenty of us have eaten things we 'shouldn't' in pregnancy and been totally fine.

Full fat soft cheese is cheese like philadelphia
It would say if was unpasteurised
You will be fine and it's perfectly safe to eat

In UK law, all non pasteurised soft cheese must be labelled with a warning.

So you are safe to assume if it just lists soft cheese it is pasteurised.

I eat soft cheese all the time, I've never encountered unpasteurised. As PPs have said, it would have to be labelled if unpasteurised. You'll be OK!

Thank you all so much! So easy to overthink things and worry while pregnant!
