Very strange and horrible sensation in first trimester

This is going to be really hard to explain but I will do my best. I am coming up to 10 weeks of pregnancy, it has been hell so far, the worst sickness and nausea ever. The last few days I have been he trying this horrible feeling like I'm going a bit crazy, it kind of feels like I can feel all my blood rushing around my body, it's like I can feel the hormones flowing through my body. It causes me to be very tense, lightheaded and dizzy. Sometimes it makes me feel like my head is going to explode. It's the strangest feeling ever and there is nothing I can do to stop it. It makes me feel like I need to pull my hair out and scream. Has anyone had anything else similar to this? I am starting to feel like I can't cope with this anymore :(

Have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

Motherof1and2dogs · 14/12/2024 19:15

@Sleetwave yes, only yesterday as well and was perfect. These sensations I get tend to be before I am sick or before I get a strong feeling of needing to be sick. It's a really weird feeling

I had a few days of feeling really 'on edge' sort of buzzy / adrenaline type feeling. I'd speak to your GP but my anti sickness meds have also stopped it.

My GP like PP was concerned about blood pressure but said the increase in blood volume makes your heart work harder and the changes in hormones don't help.

Maybe worth speaking to your GP or a pharmacist about?

@Harriet1989 you have just described it much better than I have. All those are spot on. I had my blood pressure checked yesterday at my first midwife appointment and it was normal, but can it change daily? Is this a normal sensation with pregnancy?
