Just wondered when everyone started showing?
mum 12+4 weeks.
Normally a size 10/12. Bloated a lot early on and always did before periods etc, but doesn’t seem to be as low down anymore and looks a lot more ‘bump like’ in clothes.
I know baby is still small and this is nothing 😂

Similar to you I've had bloating, which was noticeable from about 7 weeks. However my uterus started peeping over my pelvis about 2 weeks ago. I'm currently 14+4 and overnight on Thursday into Friday morning my stomach seemed to "pop" and the uterus line suddenly merged with the upper bloating. It's correlated with some pretty severe round ligament pain too unfortunately. It now looks very rounded, and I'm quite petite otherwise so it's pretty protruding in proportion to the rest of me! But equally I've had friends not show until way past the 6 month mark (they had much firmer abs than me to begin with though!).

It really depends on your body shape and what's normal for you. I remember going on a group holiday when I was 16 weeks and thinking I for sure looked pregnant. I felt like I had a bump. And then I was talking (in a swimsuit) to a friend of a friend and when I said I was pregnant she looked really surprised and said I must be very early 😅

I would say that pregnancy I had a proper bump at 28/29 weeks but I was small throughout even tho I felt huge. I was a 10/12 to begin with and about 70kgs

This time I am heavier now than I was at full term..! I'm starting at 85kg and 14/16 and I'm only 6 weeks. I can tell it's definitely going to be different but not sure what my bump will be like!

I used the baby centre app and the bumpie picture thing to do weekly pictures and at the time it seemed a bit pointless but now I still look back at it and my daughter loves seeing them and how she grew

With my first it was at least 16 weeks with my third it was very obvious I was pregnant from 11 weeks.

The bump is the sac more than the baby (in the early stages) but yes you look like you have a little bump.

How tall are you OP? I’m beginning to think that makes a real difference.

Im currently 16+2 and not showing at all - im envious of your bump! But im over 6ft and pear shape, so think I naturally have lots of space for my uterus to take up before it will start popping out, and my abs are quite strong so think it’s all quite well supported for time being. If I completely relax I have more of a tummy than usual but I rarely stand like that so doesn’t really show

Microgal · 14/12/2024 12:13

im 5ft2 and before first pregnancy was 8st I started showing at about 18/19 weeks and with my second probably about 14/15weeks

Sierra26 · 14/12/2024 12:22

Interesting @Microgal you have contradicted my theory! 😂

Edenmum2 · 14/12/2024 12:22

Not until about 15 weeks but my friend was showing almost immediately so it just differs so much

Well, I was very much like this by 12 weeks but it turned out it was twins...

I assume you've had your scan? 😆

JessParrish · 18/12/2024 10:44

@Sierra26 hey! sorry for the late reply, I’m 5ft 8! maybe you’re right! I 100% have terrible abs so mine is probably just popping out all over the place LOL! I’m sure you’ll be popping soon!!

@newrubylane I can confirm there is only 1 baby in there!! It’s mad how different everyone’s bodies are and how we all react differently!

At 5 weeks I was huge with bloating and looked as big as I do now at 25 weeks 😂 there was no hiding it.

Missmarymack2 · 18/12/2024 11:28

I’m 5ft 1 and normal bmi and didn’t show until over 20 weeks with my first. They say smaller woman show quicker but I don't agree. 14 weeks with my second now and just look fat to be honest no proper bump yet !

Greeneyegirl · 19/12/2024 16:05

With my first 21 weeks but I'm currently 8 weeks with twins and showing in the evenings

StamppotAndGravy · 19/12/2024 16:26

My trousers were tight and there was a bit of a bump by 10 weeks, that close female friends could spot. I feel like a whale now at 25 weeks. People started commenting around 22 weeks when it became definitely pregnant rather than too much cake, but they'd been wondering a few weeks before.

I'm 5'7 with a narrow waist but a muscular size 12. Swimmers shoulders and sturdy thighs make me feel enormous now my middle has filled out!

MaltipooMama · 19/12/2024 16:53

With my first I only had what others described as a "bump" from around 18 weeks. This time around I'm currently 11+4 and I think I'm already starting to see it!

spiderlight · 19/12/2024 16:59

My bump appeared on the day of my 20-week scan. It was a really distinct overnight change.

I tended to agree with you on the height thing, as I didn’t really ever get much of a bump with my first. I’m 6ft too, and people would always be shocked when I said I was pregnant! By delivery, I looked a bit bloated. I presumed baby was just standing up with all the room available.

Clearly my abdo wall is shot though, because my bump with current third baby definitely declared itself by 20 weeks. At 27 weeks, it’s bigger than it was at 39 with the first two! Same pre-pregnancy weight of 58kg.
