How long to get booking app blood test results back?

Morning, all. Just wondering how long it took you to receive your booking appointment blood test results back? I've been exhausted to the extent of being pretty much bed-bound all day and am keen to see if this is to do with my iron levels or connected to subclinical hypothyroidism that was detected a few weeks back. (I'm on levothyroxine for that.)

TIA Biscuit

I had my booking appointment last Friday and I'm still waiting for my results. Also waiting on my iron level for the same reasons xxx

Thanks for your reply! I only had mine on Tuesday but am so desperate to find out if there's anything behind this tiredness. I never expected to feel so exhausted (this is my first pregnancy)! I just hope the second trimester brings some renewed energy and ability to actually leave the house, go for some walks, not feel so glued to my bed!

Early pregnancy absolutely floored me. Never felt tiredness like it!
in my trust we check daily for blood results and get them back to you asap. We’d call if there was an issue or just publish them for you to see if they were normal.

Ihope you fe better soon x

Do they use an online system? With my area it’s just the midwife calling if anything is low otherwise I asked at the 16 week apt.

With my first I was incredibly tired by 8 weeks and it turned out to be low iron, midwife called me about 4 days later. My ferritin was 13 (should be 30-130 range).

This time, I specifically asked if midwife could test my ferritin level at booking apt due to last time, she never called me up. At 16 weeks I asked and she said she couldn’t see that on the system but my haemoglobin was fine (130) so I wasn’t low on iron at the time. Well from 11 weeks I started to get more tired, by 16 weeks I was struggling and the midwife didn’t seam bothered or offer to check my iron. I reached 18 weeks and it was very bad I had two moments of almost passing out/light headed so I asked my gp for a blood test. It turns out my ferritin is 8 and my haemoglobin had dipped but only 119 and the minimum is 120. So now I’m on iron tablets.

Interestingly the blood test said my tsh was 4.59 (upper limit 4.3 on that test) and t4 is 7.7 (min is 7.8) I’m not on anything for thyroid the doctor said it’s only borderline. However I will have another next week to check it again. The only other reference I have is two years ago my tsh was 2.48 I paid for a private test after a miscarriage. You mentioned thyroid do you know what your tsh/t4 are?

4 days for me for them to show on the app, and I was phoned within a week to discuss abnormal results.
