Nub theory pros, is this definitely a boy…?

Everyone says so, just wondering if you think any chance it’s a girl? Scan at 12.4 weeks.

I’m no expert, but I’d definitely say boy. The angle goes upwards and there’s two ‘parts’.

Yeah, that looks like a pretty clear boy. It’s a very risen nub.

Thanks, that’s what I thought! It’s so odd knowing pretty much for sure at such an early stage that I hoped there was some doubt…

I'm now 32 weeks and the heartbeat sounds very like a boy, even a midwife thought so too!

I've been convinced it's a boy for so many weeks now that I have been drawn to buying more boy items...!!

Anyone have any guesses? Although baby was crossing legs, wriggling so much I can't see a nub 😬🫣 scan at 12 weeks 2 days. Thanks 😊

OP - definitely looks like a boy to me. Congratulations!

@OnePinkSloth I’d say boy for you too as it doesn’t look parallel to me. If you have a protractor on your phone (and can be bothered!) you can measure the angle though

@tumblebumbleweed - I can’t make this one out but maybe someone with better eyes will come along!

Thanks all! It will be so lovely for my two to have a little brother. I did think it was pretty unambiguous but have gone mad squinting to see if there’s any chance of a girl in there! (I don’t really mind, I was just hoping for more of a surprise. But this scan leaves no room for doubt!)

And I agree girl - the nub also protrudes as well as being horizontal @OnePinkSloth I also wouldn’t put much store by the heartbeat, that’s meant to be a myth I think.

Haha, mixed views now! Not sure how to use a protractor on my phone, but I'd love to measure it somehow.

@OnePinkSloth Looks like a girl to me! Very similar looking to my DD’s scan photo at 12W. She’s 1 year old now.

I’m only very slightly leaning boy - I think it could be a girl. It’s not an obvious nub like in OP’s scan but it doesn’t look quite parallel to me. When do you find out? I need to know now!

I just was intrigued to see what people thought from my 12wk scan, I'll be 33wks on Monday. I may have to have baby early as they're measuring on the 97th centile!! Send help!! This is my first and I'm thinking about delivering a chonka!!!
