Hey all, we went through our first round of IVF a few weeks ago. Had a fresh transfer on 2nd so today is 8dp5dt. Promised myself I would wait to test until the weekend but couldnt hold it any longer and tested! This is the result which I think positive! I'm in shock to be honest but obviously now worried that it might be picking up hormones from the trigger shot a couple of weeks ago - anyone have any experience of this?

When did you take your trigger shot ? It can be up to 14 days depending on dose - I remember reading it’s something it basically goes down by a half every two days- so a 10,000 shot could take up to 8 days depending on dose and sensitivity of test. Also your metabolism etc will make difference.

i got my two positives on day 7 so if it’s not the trigger shot- it’s likely to be accurate!

Thank you, that's really helpful!! Trigger shot was on Monday 25th, then EC on 27th so hopefully (unless I have a crazy sluggish metabolism) it would have worked itself out!! Just can't believe I'm seeing a BFP! No doubt will obsess over the line getting darker now haha

Congratulations! I know the feeling - still struggling to believe my first is real and she’s three 😂 currently expecting my second and it’s the same - kicks, bump and still trying to wrap my head around the fact there’s actually a baby?! And they are real?!

(and if it is the tail end of the trigger, it may get lighter and then darker again if your natural levels aren’t as high as the trigger levels if that makes sense!? )
