I slipped down the last few steps and landed on my bum and back against the step edges and it knocked the wind out of me. Luckily it was carpeted as it really hurt. My bump was not impacted.

I wasn't sure if baby was being a bit quieter than usual, but she is moving about now and is actually quite active in my pelvis and at the top of the bump. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. I may call the Midwife assessment unit tomorrow in the hope that they talk to me or see me. But if everything looks normal, can I still have caused damage, like brain damage to my baby from the thump? I think baby is head down and I know it's protected by muscles and fat, my pelvis, amniotic fluid etc but I can't help but worry.

It seems pretty unlikely, baby is up front and well protected but absolutely no harm in a chat with the midwife either. Pregnancy can be a worrying time, always best to put your mind at ease.

If you didn't land on the bump and don't have any pain etc, it should be fine. Certainly call the midwife tomorrow to reassure yourself but i would not worry.

I did the same and I was fine. If the baby has moved then just get checked tomorrow. Don’t worry.

I'm sure baby is fine but I'd call anyway in the morning and I'm sure they'll check everything just for peace of mind
