So we are torn between the Uppababy Vista V3 and Silvercross Reef 2. Just wondering if anyone has any experiences of either they can share? Thank you!

Apparently a lot of Silver Pram Reefs get returned for faults. Both stores I went to kind of edged around this but confirmed it when I asked outright (a friend had been told when she returned hers for a fault that they get LOADS of them back - which is why I thought to ask)

I'll be going for the uppababy vista, there's been 2 in my family already and I love it. Handles very easily and smoothly, giant basket, adjustable handle bar, big smooth wheels and the people I know who have owned one have never had an issue. Also heard uppababy customer service is really good should a problem arise. The pram itself holds its value well so can hopefully get a bit of money back if you sell it on, it can also change into a double if you need it.

I don't know anything about the silvercross though.

I was umming and ahhing between the vista and the reef as well (but I think maybe earlier versions?). The reef had only just been released so there weren't many reviews about it at the time so it was a bit of a gamble, but my heart was leaning towards it so we went with it. It definitely wasn't perfect (is any pram?) but we loved using it, especially with the bassinet bit. We did have an issue with the frame jamming but silver cross customer services couldn't have been better, they sent out an entire new pushchair that arrived within a few days. No problems at all with the second one. Some of my friends had the vista and that seemed like a great chair too. Although no pushchair is perfect, I'm sure you will be happy with either of those so I'd say to go with your heart and pick the one you are most drawn to.

We had the Vista V2, I absolutely loved it. It pushed like a dream and was really luxurious, massive basket. The only downside was it was a unit. It was solid and heavy and took up a lot of space. Especially early on with the carry cot. We paid about £750 for it on sale in 2021, I sold it last year for £400. I originally intended on using it until my son was out of pushchairs. But it was just too cumbersome with an active toddler who wanted to keep hopping in and out. We now use a bugaboo dragonfly. Given the time again with a first, as much as I loved the V2 and it ticked so many boxes, the heaviness, bulky fold and the space it takes up in the boot, I'd have gone for something else.
I'm slowly learning that finding the right pushchair isn't necessarily going to be right for the whole of your kids small life. You might end up having several different ones that suit the phase you're in 💕

We've got a Vista V2. Still love it. DD is 2.5 years now and still needs the pushchair on longer trips and for naps. We use it with the buggy board too.

I sometimes think about moving to something super light like a Joolz Aer+, but I'm 37 weeks pregnant with my second and will definitely want my sturdy pram with its massive basket again. It also converts into a double, so that's easier for us right now, as I definitely won't want to sling baby non-stop. Our boot can handle it, and while it's definitely on the bulkier side and not as easy to fold as, say, a Babyzen YoYo, its pros have outweighed those cons for us.

When DD has dropped her nap and can be trusted not to act like she's never tasted freedom 😂, we might get rid in favour of something more nippy for DS as he'll be out of the carrycot by then.

We preferred the uppababy - the reef 2 was really heavy! We didn’t get either in the end but out of the two my vote is uppababy. Have you tried going to John Lewis and having a baby appointment? (You get money off too which is a bonus!)

I didn’t have either (JOOLz) but lots of friends had the vista and v happy

We've just ordered the UppaBaby Vista! We're both tall parents so found the height perfect and loved that it could be easily changed to a double buggy if we needed it. It should be arriving this week (with baby due any day!) so happy to feed back when we've actually used it - but we looked at all sorts (Silver Cross, Nuna Mixx, Mothercare own brand etc) and thought the Vista came out on top!

Just to say that we got ours from Baby&Co and got a bundle with the car seat & 360 base too 🙂
