Waters or discharge? TMI/PIC WARNING

Hi,

I'm 30 weeks and just heading home from a weekend away. When I get home in 4 hours I will call maternity and have put in a pad in the meantime. I have an 18 month old and highly suspect that this is just discharge so don't want to go to a hospital that do not know me and my history.

Do you feel this is most likely discharge? I struggle with anxiety after a previous late term loss (not due to waters breaking early)

Thanks in advance!

To me it looks like discharge. When my waters broke @38 weeks it was consistency of water (not thick like yours appears to be) and also had a pinky tinge. With my son the MWs broke my waters and I remember them saying ‘pink healthy waters’ too.

thats just my experience though. If you are worried I’d certainly get it checked out, hope it all goes well 🥰🩷

It also looks like discharge to me, it looks thicker than waters x

Thank you @Gemmaemilyx and @OverTheRainbow18! I am still going to call maternity triage as it makes me feel less anxious but you have really really helped! Out of interest, would you have called triage yourselves for this? As someone with health anxiety, it's difficult for me to assess a 'logical' response.

I've had this a few times during pregnancy and it was exactly the same as yours, got checked out and it was just discharge. Apparently thrush etc can cause watery discharge, also the estrogen hormones can cause it to be more watery too.

If you're worried though, always best to get checked out if it settles you x

Mucus plug? Although mine was thicker and grosser. Please call your midwife!

Update - I sent the pictures to my midwife and they were not worried at all. Thank you for everyone's help!
