Hi Everyone,
I've recently come across a petition that is approved by 10 downing street to make information about pre-eclampsia mandatory for all pregnant women.
It is a subject close to my heart as I suffered from pre-eclampsia and my son was born with IUGR because of this.
I personally feel that not enough information is given about it. At one point I had my own doctor take my bp and did not send me to hospital even though the diasyolic was 100+ and told it was probably just nerves! I was told off by the hospital a couple of days later (I didn't know how bad it was )at an appt and hospitalised immediately.
I is a very dangerous condition for both the child and mother and there is no harm, only good, in making everyone aware of it. I was lucky in that both myself and my ds are now healthy, but some women are not so fortunate.
