Positive then negative test

Last night I got home from my Christmas work do and took a test as my period is late. I'm on day 42 of my cycle which isn't unusual for me but my cycles have been pretty regular for the past year. I did the test and positive appeared instantly. Not super dark but a definite line. Anyway, this morning I retested and there is no line. There might be one if I squint but not clear like last night. I'm so confused. I'll test again later but.. what. TMI but I had sex last on 16th November and 1st December ...pic or positive below.

This was this morning. I had drank a lot of water in the night as had drank a lot last night! Obvs didn't know I was pregnant possibly

I'd wait and take another this evening - personally my tests were stronger in the evening than the morning.

Thank you. I am starting to think it's must be chemical. Surely there would be a faint line after that line that showed up last night. I mean it literally appeared straight away!

@anotheronettc i always find clear blue not being as sensitive as some cheapies ! I’d test again tomorrow !!

@anotheronettc how late are you? Could just be too early as like @Ttclineyes2009 said ive read about clear blues not being as sensitive sometimes….

Oh really?! I thought they were the most sensitive. Good to know. They are so expensive grr. Will find a different one tomorrow

I really don't know! My cycles are so irregular. But going off my last few recent ones I'm about two weeks late however I think I may have ovulated late. Just have no idea!

Thank you, it's messing with my head so much. I'm assuming maybe I had a chemical pregnancy but I really don't know thing is this will be my third baby and I know people are so desperate to have children but I'm not even sure if it's the right time, I was trying to be careful avoiding ovulation
