Movement Changes

First time pregnant mama hate. I’m currently 35+6days pregnant. I’m not concerned with babies movement but I’ve definitely seen a shift from just kicks to a pushing feeling as the baby must be running out of room. I know the official advice is there should be no reduction in movement but so many women IRL have said to me that near the end they definitely felt a reduction probably due to lack of space. I just wondered what others experiences were.

Just to say I feel like my movement has changed too but im only 33 weeks so not as far along as you. I can still feel her moving but it’s much fainter and not the big kicks and things I see others have at this stage. I’m half debating whether to go to the assessment unit but equally I can still feel her, it’s just the movements are less often and less strong.
Im on a little group on here with other mums to be and it does seem like they are having lots of movement and it’s strong, whereas mine seems to be different entirely which is making me feel a bit anxious when I wasn’t before! Have you called your maternity unit for advice?

I would just phone them and arrange to get checked. I went at 20 weeks when I felt like the movement was off and everyone was so nice. If you are worried the midwifes would much rather see you than have you not raising any concerns. Every midwife I have ever spoken to has always said they are more than happy to see people so don’t worry about calling.
