Food poisoning?

Hey, so just wondering if anyone has advice or experienced such thing - I had some frozen mince meat bolognaise in the freezer and heated it up in a pan on the hob for 25 mins, it seemed piping hot to me and so I ate it. I have now got an upset stomach and seriously worried I have done harm to baby :( I am 32 weeks pregnant. Does anyone know if I need to go to hospital or if this will pass and baby will be fine? I’ve read some conflicting things online regarding food poisoning (which I presume I have due to not heating the food up properly). TIA xx

Surely if you heated it for 25minutes it should be fine??

An upset stomach won't harm baby just make sure you keep hydrated - even if it goes straight through.

Obviously if you experience severe pains then get checked out

Doesn’t sound like food poisoning to me, it’s possible you’ve just an upset stomach without it being something bad. You heated it for 25 mins impossible for it not to be done

Food poisoning won’t affect the baby. Seems unlikely to be food poisoning though? If you have pain get checked out

Seems very unlikely to be food poisoning from something you've heated for 25 mins, unless it was many portions or had been reheated many times. Might just be a stomach bug? Anyway an upset stomach won't harm the baby. The things I would watch for would be :

  • going more than 24 hours without being able to keep any water down as this would lead to dehydration which could harm the baby.
  • going more that a few days with no food staying in as that could starve the baby.
  • horrible headache which might be a sign of dehydration
  • with a stomach bug or food poisoning I would expect you might have a bit of belly ache. But if between D&V bouts you can't sleep, watch TV, read, concentrate on a conversation, because your belly hurts so badly, that would be time to seek medical advice.
Feel better soon.

I am 28 weeks pregnant,
Caught a bacteria called campylobacter at 24 weeks (type of food poisoning)
Ended up in hospital, due to not keeping anything in for 3 days either end.
Baby was absolutely fine the whole time.

Your be fine don't worry xx
