Hey all

I am 40+2. First pregnancy and I am lost on what this pain is! It’s not like what I expected…. have had unusual , low pelvic / cervical / bikini line area and it’s NOT lightening crotch pains…for a few days.

it hurts mostly if the baby moves , when sitting down, and then it gets worse if it’s started and I try and move positions. Sometimes also triggered by walking.

Over the weekend it was so severe I went to hospital. They seemed confused as they said it didn’t sound like contractions said I wasn’t in labour and cervix was closed and tbf it did go away. Yesterday it started again and had it on / off all night, today I have the same area giving me pain.

I’ve asked my friends who have recently had babies and they have no experienced it.

for history- I had cervical cancer in the past and also a cervical stitch this pregnancy which was removed 4 weeks ago.

I’d guess either PGP as suggested above or just general ligament pain. Your body has been super stretched and baby is really heavy at this stage so it’s normal to experience some level of discomfort. But if it persists I’d try to be seen again.

I had this, I was overdue with a big baby so I just put it down to the weight of the baby putting pressure on nerves and things. Everything turned out to be ok

I had this and it was PGP.
If it's that, it is good that it has started so late on it can be really disabling if it begins earlier in the pregnancy.
Also, if it is that, it goes away as soon as baby is born.
Hope you feel comfortable soon.
