Was your period normal in October? How long is your cycle usually?

Xxmickixx · 03/12/2024 21:57

Didn't have a period in October;(
Had period in September 28 to 2 October then nothing in October had very bad cramps on the 30/31 of October then period came on the 13-16 of November with some clots but cramping very bad on the Friday day🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm struggling to make the dates work - if your cycle day 1 was 13th Nov, you'd be due to ovulate typically 14 days later on 27th Nov so you'd be 6dpo now and those tests are dark.

I would probably speak to your GP to make sure your last period wasn't an incomplete miscarriage?

Xxmickixx · 03/12/2024 23:35

So what does that mean?

That you very possibly was pregnant in October and could possibly still have some leftover tissue in your body that is giving you positive pregnancy tests. Definitely give your GP a call..

Yes exactly this. It might not be but I am finding it hard to make the dates and your experience line up otherwise so I think it warrants getting it checked by your GP to make sure

:( I've been doing tests in the past and never had a line like that straight down I would of said it's a positive but then again I don't know

Hey OP, we're agreed it's positive. The challenge we're raising is that the lines on that test are strong. They seem too dark for 6dpo. That suggests you either ovulated quite a lot earlier than you think (maybe 4+ days earlier at least to be getting lines that dark) or.. your 'period' in November may have been a miscarriage and the clots were tissue passing. In this scenario if you're still getting positive test results it suggests you may have retained tissue.

I'm not trying to scare you. I'm suggesting that because you missed a period.. then had a significant bleed.. and now have a very positive test very early in this cycle that it warrants speaking to a doctor so they can rule out that it's retained tissue and make sure you're safe and healthy.

In the best case scenario they can do bloods or scan and tell you if it is a new pregnancy and that it's progressing as it should.

I hope you're okay OP x
