We've been TTC for 2 years. We had some fertility tests last year which shown a blocked tube. We managed to get pregnant in jan this year which sadly ended in MC. Went though EPU as risk of eptopic due to blocked tube ( just some histor lol)
I have discovered I am pregnant again I am 100% certain of LMP which was 22nd October i had positive ovulation tests from 7th to 9th Nov. My cycle length is 32 days
First positive test on 25th of November. Called Dr due to risk of eptoic he puts me at 6 weeks. My app puts me at 5.4 weeks not so bad!
Been to epu today and they said they can see the beginning of a pregnancy but that's it. They can't confirm viable or not yet
They suggested I'm about 4.5 weeks. How can this be I am so confused??
I'm worried this will end like the last one which was back and forth to the epu scans bloods ect ect.
Had bloods today and go back on 5th. And I guess again on the 7th
I am so confused as to how all the dates can be wrong.
I've been looking at line progression and it kinda looks okay?
Has anyone else been in this position with dates not adding up??
Sorry for long post it's a saga I know

If you ovulated on 9th November (going by ovulation tests) and it puts you at about 5+3 max. How accurate is a scan that early? They can be days out and it’s hard to measure something that small. So it could go either way. The blood tests will at least let you know if its rising and this is a good indication vs the 7-14 day rescan wait time.

If you were at 7-8 weeks then it becomes a bit more clear but you are fairly early. Most don’t even do a scan before 6 weeks but I understand from your lmp you would be that.

I hope it all goes well for you.

Thank you so much for replying. I'm hoping the bloods give some better indication. I wanted to hold off with EPU for another 2 weeks however Dr recommended ruling out eptoic. Wish I had waited now x

Agree you're around 5 and a half weeks. As I understand it, ovulation generally occurs 12-36 hours after the initial LH surge (so probably on the 8th or 9th of Nov).

It's really tricky to see anything at that stage and accurately date.

I had a scan at 6 weeks with my DD due to a previous ectopic and couldn't see a fetal pole, they dated me 4/5 days earlier which I knew wasn't possible. She caught up and by the 12 week scan they were putting me days further on than I was, around a week later than the dates given at the 6 week scan.

@Ranga996 a positive is you have ruled out ectopic. Sorry you now have the worry and wait though for checking how everything is going.
