Does everyone get a diabetes test when pregnant? I’m a low risk pregnancy and 19 weeks. Midwife hasn’t mentioned about a diabetes test and other girls in work have got there’s. Just wondering is it to do with bmi?

Hi, I’m 28 weeks pregnant and haven’t had a diabetes test 😁

I’m a low risk pregnancy and they asked me all the health questions at 12 week scan. It doesn’t run in my family either.

I’m a low risk pregnancy too and nobody has ever mentioned having a diabetes test.

There’s a list of risk factors.

im very slim but my dad has diabetes so due to family link i have to do the glucose test.

if you don’t have a risk factor (most people) you dont do the test

There's certain criteria. My dad has type 2 diabetes so I had the test, but didn't develop it.

No, you only need it if you have a risk factor eg BMI over 30, family history of diabetes etc
