First trimester symptoms

Hi guys,
I believe I’m nearly 6 weeks pregnant with my first, my symptoms started off with nausea, bloating and extreme tiredness however for around a week I’ve been suffering with a headache that will not go away.. I’m trying to avoid taking anything if possible but it’s getting to the point where it hurts to move my head.

Is this normal for this stage in pregnancy? I’m none the wiser as this is my first time being pregnant. My best friend says her symptoms didn’t start until around 7/8 weeks. I know every pregnancy is different but I just want to see if anyone has experienced anything similar?

Contact your gp surgery/111 they may want to check your blood pressure / general check up
I took paracetamol when pregnant but not ibuprofen
Be sure to stay hydrated especially if you get any sickness/vomiting
Congrats on your pregnancy

You don’t need to avoid paracetamol it’s not harmful, Ive had bad headaches during my pregnancy and just had some meds to help

Every pregnancy is indeed different.

I'm pregnant with my second baby now and it's completely different to my first pregnancy even though they're the same gender.
This time I had awful headaches in the first trimester which have thankfully subsided (now 23+3). I took paracetamol to take the edge off and just tried to rest as much as possible.

Have you cut caffeine out? Caffeine withdrawal headaches can be awful! I've had headaches too but they don't sound as bad as yours, I've taken paracetamol and tried to make sure I'm drinking lots of water but I agree with PP, might be worth checking your blood pressure

Yeah I’ve cut caffeine right down I have a normal cup of tea every few days, I’ve also stopped vaping so I’m sure it’s probably a nicotine and caffeine withdrawal symptom thinking about it😂
thanks all for your advice x
