Back pain - HELP

hello - please can anyone help with this? Keep waking up at night with back pain. I've tried pillow underneath the belly and in between my legs but no joy. I find using a maternity belt and having a bath helps outside of bed. I just need some advice before I clubber DH as he blissfully sleeps as I toss and turn.

Try rolling up a tshirt and placing under the bottom of your back. It needs to be quite thin, something in the region of quarter to half of an inch. It helps lift the base of your back up just enough to take the pressure off your spine - relieves my pain quite well.

Depending on how far on you are this may not work, my friend swears by her wedge shaped pillow under the bump as she laid on her side.

Try googling mckenzie exercises - when I injured my back they really helped, and they are helping now at 20 weeks(ish) My injury was a slipped disc though, so you may need to look at the stuff to help relieve muscle pain.

Chin up, and if he complains, just bash him with the pillow. It works for my hubby, he gets kneed, elbowed, pushed out of bed etc... regularly!

Thank you. Brought the first smile to my sleep hungry face today. I'm 20 weeks - will try it tonight
