I’m pregnant with second baby (yay!) and while I managed to hold out to 12 weeks for my first baby for a scan however I caved in this one and had a scan at the weekend where I was dated 10 +2! ☺️ I thought I was around 10 weeks so was happy with that. Baby was kicking had a good heartbeat and the sonographer said little bean was growing well and she had no concerns.

i know no one can say for sure but my risk of miscarriage is now quite low yes? (I know there is still screening to be done and of course the anatomy scan) but I can relax a bit now?

Congratulations OP.

Of course there is no time in pregnancy without any risk whatsoever but the chance of MC drops significantly once you've seen a healthy embryo and heartbeat after 8 weeks and then more with each passing week.

Best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy

Congratulations OP! It's such an anxious time. I know this might sound really morbid to some, but there are these miscarriage risk calculators online that can give you the stats week by week. For me, after a long time TTC and a very complicated loss, it did reassure me. I think for some people it might do the opposite.. But I liked seeing the risk drop by week. If that sounds like something that might reassure you, have a Google there's lots of them out there. Fingers crossed for a lovely straightforward pregnancy, sounds like it's off to a great start😊🤞🏼
