Hi all, just looking for some advice!

Today I got a positive test and my husband and I are over the moon. This will be our first and whilst I'm happy, I'm trying not to be too excited as I know from friends and family things don't always go to plan.

I am just looking to find out what the heck we do next! I know about folic acid etc but what about GP/hospital etc? In my area we self refer for booking appointment but will my GP also give me guidance? I am on prescription medication for colitis which the leaflet tells me is ok to take but obviously I'd want actual confirmation!

Is there anything else I need to know? This is all so new to us and is making me a bit anxious, I was considering telling my best friend as she will be able to give me advice and help but wasn't sure if that was a bad idea too.

Congratulations!! What fantastic news! Tell your best friend, she can advise you on what happens next. Make an appointment to see your GP as well, to double check the colitis medication is fine to take. So you’ll be having a summer baby? How lovely 🥰
