I'm currently 32 weeks today and at my 20 week scan they basically said everything was all good and I do not need to go back to hospital for any other scans.

I booked a 4D private one a few weeks ago but it doesn't give you information, just literally to see the baby in 4D.

I feel movement daily I have no worries however some of my friends who have just given birth mentioned how they had to go to hospital for scans to see weight of baby etc, I haven't had this opportunity and I've looked into it and it's quite expensive to pay privately.

Is this normal or should I bring this up to my midwife? It'll be nice to know this information!

Those are growth scans. If you’re having a normal pregnancy and everything was fine at 20 weeks, you won’t have those.

Thank you!

Sorry for the stupid questions, this is my first pregnancy!

Hi OP, they're not stupid questions at all.

There are only 2 standard NHS scans at 12 and 20 ish weeks.
Extra scans are normally done by referral from a doctor or midwife, often due to queries about the babies growth as pp said or other medical reasons.
If you have no concerns, you're not high risk and all your appointments are going well then there won't be anymore scans
