Hi everyone - just looking for some advise please

when did everyone put the pregnancy tests away? I’m torturing myself. I have had 2 losses (both conceived through ivf this year, one very early loss and second loss was at 7 weeks)

This week I found out I am pregnant (naturally, I honestly am in shock)
I am about 4 and a half weeks and keep testing - I will post test from today. Would this be considered a dye stealer and should I put the tests away now??

any advise is so welcome. I’m a nervous wreck. I can’t believe this has happened on its own considering I was told both my tubes were blocked!!!

thanks

When to stop testing??

I only did a second test because the first one was a cheap one and I wanted to use one of those ones that tells you how many weeks. After that, never tested again.

Put the tests away and stop winding yourself up

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Put the tests away. Testing won't change the outcome of the pregnancy it will just cause you anxiety.

Can I make a suggestion also? Don't scan after scan after scan. It also causes anxiety. Although, I would suggest an early scan just to make sure everything is growing in the right place if you have blocked tubes.

I had 7 years of fertility treatment. I lost 2 twin pregnancies. When I was pregnant, the next time I had a terrible pregnancy with lots of bleeding and had scan after scan. The scans cause even more anxiety and I went for more scams for reassurance. I was an anxious mess. I wish I had had counselling instead of the scans TBH.

I tested twice a day for the first 6 weeks but drove myself absolutely crazy doing so as I would convince myself they were getting lighter. Put them down and book a private scan for 7 weeks xx

I have done 1 test per pregnancy. They tell you that you are pregnant not the health of the pregnancy. I tested 5 days late for my first 2 pregnancies. Dye stealers in both cases, one was my daughter. The other I miscarried at 10 weeks.

I did two tests with my first and one with my second.

As per others, put the tests down. They won't help. You only need one positive to confirm a pregnancy, any beyond that are meaningless and a waste of money. Hope all goes well for you x
