Waters going early stories

So my waters went on Monday at 30+3. Went into hospital where they confirmed it was my waters. I was in til last night when they let me go home because my obs are all normal, baby's movements and monitoring are all good and I'm not losing any more fluid. I had a scan too which showed that I've still got lots of fluid around baby. So now I just need to keep him in for as long as possible and look out for signs of infection. Has anyone got any similar stories of this happening to them and how did it go?

This happened to my friend, a little further along at 34 weeks. She went into labour within 4 days of her waters going, he came out 5lb 9 so not a bad weight, he had some jaundice and around a week nicu stay. All was well. Wishing you a positive outcome xx

A friend of mine had a similar thing happen a month or so ago - waters went at 31 weeks. They sent her home on bed rest and weekly monitoring. She managed to keep him in till I believe 36 weeks? Had him just under 2 weeks ago and he's absolutely fine :)

Thanks for the replies. They're very reassuring :) glad they're all good outcomes! I'm doing very little so hopefully he'll stay in for a good few weeks!🤞

Mine was quite a long time ago but mine went at 29 weeks. I went to hospital and upon initial investigation they said it wasn’t my waters but as I was due a scan to check on the position of the placenta they decided to bring that forward. That showed my waters had gone. And she was breech. I continued to leak water on and off for the whole time.

I was kept in hospital and on ABs until I went into natural labour at 35 weeks and had a c section. She was in SCBU for 17 days due to feeding issues and a couple of dusky episodes but is currently at uni having a blast.

fingers crossed for you.
