Wife is 5 weeks pregnant, low HCG. Anyone with advice?

Hi all, my wife is pregnant for the first time and is currently 5 weeks gone. We are concerned by her low HCG and slow incremental increase and looking for some advice. At 4 weeks, she did a scan which resulted in “pregnancy of unknown location”. She has done 3 sets of blood tests every 48 hours which has resulted in HCG counts of 77, 108 and 195. We are both really worried as up to now, we haven’t found anything conclusive. Has anyone experienced a similar situation or have any advice? Thank you.

I don't have any advice, think you just have to agonisingly wait in hope. Wishing a positive outcome. Have been in a similar situation x

It’s so very early all you can do is wait to find the cause. There must have been reason to have such an early scan and HCG tests done.

I don't have any advice either but it's unusual to have a scan so early at 4 weeks as there generally isn't anything to see. The Hcg not doubling isn't promising unfortunately but it's too early on for anything to be conclusive.
Has the EPU or doctor you've been seeing suggested a plan?

It sounds like it's a non-viable pregnancy unfortunately. But as others have said, it is a case of wait and see. If she has any significant pain or bleeding you should contact your local EPU for advice.

Thank you. My wife is under EPU team because she had some bleeding and pain when we found she was pregnant. Now no bleeding or pain. The nurses want her to have a scan at 5 weeks and 2 days and if still inconclusive which we think it might be, then more bloods.
